Right from the opening quarter, it was Haryana who dominated proceedings, taking an 11-point lead to finish the first 10 minutes with a 27-16 lead. The second quarter saw the former score a similar number of points while Punjab struggled to find their feet, scoring a mere 10.
At the end of the first half the Steelers trailed their opponents by a whopping 27 points at 53-26.
The second half of the game proved to be a lot closer, as Punjab and Haryana scored 45 and 42 points respectively during the course of the 20 minutes. But it was Haryana who prevailed in the end by 24 points to book a place in the semifinals of the competition.
