Ubisoft has reportedly chosen to permanently ban Matti Hietanen for creating a mod that introduces a photo mode to its 2015 online action role-playing title, The Division. In response to the ban, Hietanen tweeted: In the past, Hietanen has created photo mode tools for several different titles, including Battlefield 1, Dark Souls 3 and Star Wars Battlefront, all through the use of a program designed by himself, called Cinematic Tools....

Ubisoft, though, appears to be doing its best to quieten the doubters. In just a few days, The Division beta will begin on Xbox One (it heads to PC and PS4 a day later) giving the company a chance to nip any issues in the bud. However, Ubisoft has now revealed that The Division alpha (hosted in December) also led to some serious bug-busting. In a post on the Ubisoft forums, a Ubisoft community manager explains that thousands of people played The Division alpha during the three days of testing and the team “received countless valuable comments and suggestions and started working on them directly....

First off, Ubisoft has hinted that Assassin’s Creed: Origins will have extensive post-launch content, so a new Assassin’s Creed doesn’t seem likely (although with the China/Japan rumors and Ragnarok concept, some fans may cling to the small chance that it could be one of the unknown titles.) Ghost Recon, South Park, and Far Cry have all recently received attention, with Far Cry 5 releasing next month, and Rainbow Six and For Honor are service games that should last some time before receiving sequels....

The majority of the information surrounding the game is obfuscated still, but the former Ghost Recon: Breakpoint developer might have already hinted at the nature of this mysterious title.
